Overview - Full story - Build your own

Today (January 16th, 2005), I finished the new and improved version of my homemade iPod speaker. The new build contains a small amplifier unit and is a bit larger than its predecessor.

THIS PAGE IS JUST A SMALL OVERVIEW OF MY WORK. IF YOU WANT MORE INFORMATION OR ARE PLANNING TO BUILD YOUR OWN SPEAKER, CHECK OUT THE FULL STORY HERE.

This is what my speaker looks like. I took half of the casing from the old speaker, and found a nice polypropilene box where the amplifier circuit and the battery would be placed.

The inside of the speaker. The amplifier circuit is clearly visible behind the battery, the speaker is attatched to the top of the box, which is flipped open on the picture.

To see the complete story of how I built the speaker, as well as the diagrams for the amplifier, click here. This is useful if you want to build your own speaker.
