· iPod Stand This new iPod accessory I built is a small but functional stand, where you can put your iPod on to give it a cooler look.
![]() A perspective view of the iPod stand. The wheels on the bottom are connected with the LEGO cross axles (the ones that look like a + sign seen from the front) so they don't spin, therefore giving the stand a good grip on flat surfaces thanks to the rubber tires. It is possible to press the iPod buttons without holding the stand itself, it won't slip away.

As you can see, this is the part where the whole structure is connected. You can see the 4 purple beams that hold the iPod in place.
![]() Viewing the stand from the back, you can see how the iPod is held firmly. The green and purple wheels might not be everyone's favorites, but imagine what would happen if you had your iPod standing next to you while you're in bed enjoying music. It's too inclined to see the screen clearly, right? Check out the next picture:

Watch closely. You'll notice that now the green wheels are on top and the purple ones are on the ground. Because of the design, this makes it possible to place the iPod in a much more vertical position to look at it directly, even if your eyes are at "ground level".

I left some clear space on the top and the bottom of the design, leaving space so that both earphones (even with the remote connected) and docking cable can be attached to the iPod without being bent or in any way damaged. It's easy to plug them in and off while on the stand, too. iTrip and similar accessories are not supported.
